Please iPhone XR was best seller in 2019 and first quarter of 2020
Sir
Imagine if Apple sold 12 billion iPhones or something lol 😂
I have Realme xt variant 8/128. Could you tell me your opinion on my phone. It has been 1year now 2 running.
Linus: "A budget phone is $500." Arun: "A budget phone is just under $200." Me: "A budget phone is a $30 Tracfone ZTE stuck on an OS that hasn't received security updates since 2019." Also me: "I should probably upgrade to that $9/month Google phone."
I don't know y I get ads of just Samsung s21 ultra..... This sucks
Yea bc most kids parents cant afford them a fucking s21 ultra and older ppl dont rlly care about the bells and whistles only ppl who buy expensive phones are lil shitter kids or 18-40
this was a science lesson
Calling mid-rangers the best selling phones is a bit misleading. Best selling Androids for sure. But the best selling phones list is mostly dominated by iPhones
I think at some point smartphones in themselves will become a cheap necessity for normal existence. But AR wearables will replace them as the new norm. Just like fewer and fewer people use desktops and normal phones because you can do everything on your phone. At some point AR will become the norm, and smartphones are notoriously clunky at that. Contact lenses or glasses would be way better at that.
I just bought my first flagship ever about a week ago lol
Again, he was a man well ahead of his time
I tried huawei p40 lite after I broke my lg g6. Everything was fine besides the sound quality so I ordered a screen and a battery for my old lg and I am planning to use it for a while
So whoes the boss?? I need an answer
I have samsing A20S 2019 it's good tho
The refurbished flagships 1 or 2 years later are the same price :3about 400 or 500
The only reason phones are cheaper now a days is because companies like Xiaomi and oneplus made smartphones cheaper ,especially Xiaomi who makes 500-800$ Flagship phones with A Grade components especially the Mi11 for 600$ is a bargain for what you get (sadly here it’s like 900$)
Sorry Arun but the Max Pro is pricey because PCs for the same price are much much much faster
Because people who want flagships buy Iphones ,I know only 6 people with android flagships (700+) and 18 who have iPhones and the weird thing is the average price of an Iphone (from the people I know) is only 800$ compared to the android users who pay around 1300$ on average
Did i just hear you say a computer is 50k dollars here in the philippines 50k dollars is 2.5 million pesos
Another problem is that the innovations are out there but may not make for a pretty sales display--like the Hisense A5 CC being an e-Ink display, or even the Yodaphone 3. Nobody wants to take a big risk, like T-Mobile did with Android years ago in the US, creating the Android explosion, so nobody is building phones to excel at certain use cases, like maybe a Sony Experia Adventure line (for outdoor adventuring), or Sony PSP line (obviously a gaming platform, they did try this but could only play Playstation 1 games. Needs to run games of quality of previous home console at minimum.) It's not like makers have to put all their eggs into one basket. Instead, let's differentiate each line of smartphones based on its intended use case.
Don't buy Chinese you are selling your freedoms
6:29 budget phone have a brand
I want to believe that it's because people are getting smarter and have stopped wasting money on silly things. But I fear that it's simply because they are not wealthy enough to afford flagships.
you forgot to mention that as long as carriers keep going subsidies (which is the majority case in north america), cell phone sales will keep going
do a giveaway for asus ROG phone 3 gimme one too, i need it
Flagship phones:I have 8gb ram My phone: What I'm only getting two over here
Normal people use headphone jacks, that's about it lmao
Flagship phone: it will decide whether you can afford it or not. Midrange phone: you will decide whether you want to afford it or not.

I am using the LG Stylo 4 with 3 gigs of ram and it runs great 😃. I am thinking about buying the Google Pixel 4a for $349

Me in 2019: buys galaxy A10 Me: *watches this vid in 2021* 😱
And then there's me, buying flagship a year later so they're mid-range price lol I need powerful cameras because I have a long distance relationship, so I prefer to invest in the best phone I can. I also love huawei, I've never loved a phone more than my huawei p10 pro. So I switched to the p40 pro this year and I loooove ittttt
IMO the best range now is $300 -$800. Yes I know it’s a massively wide range, but basically anything above or under is not necessary for the everyday person, unless you need to store like half a terabyte of data and a super fast chip at once.
I have a mid range phone, the screen can go 2160p 60fps and it's good for gaming

I watched all your videos on a wish phone
This maybe slightly off topic to this video, but if possible could you make a guide to picking and buying phones? 3 months of video reviews price checking and learning specs and I just want something more reliable then my motorola g7 optimo, that can run pokemon go and smaller games like Harvest Moon, but am more lost then if I'd just gone into Walmart again and bought a tracphone. Don't even get me started on Gsm and plans. 🙄 Thanks, love the videos!
Just pick a semi old flagship that's in your price range. Old flagships are still flag ships and still have fast processors, high quality cameras and other reasons it was a flagship when it released. Mrwhosetheboss did do a few comparison videos comparing 2018 flagships vs 2020 mid range phones. Spoiler, old flagships win.
Best selling phone of 2019 is the IPhone XR
Arun: a $1000 phone would not be worse than a $400-500 phone Galaxy note 20 with s20 fe: hello
Why should I give 700 800 1000$ for telephone? Is it logical?
My opinion on what phone the average person should get (at least for Android) are actually the year-old flagships rather than the midrangers. My thought behind this is that these phones (such as the oneplus 7 pro, note 10, pixel 4, etc.) all have great performance/panels/build quality still compared to the midrangers, along with the extra features that made them flashy and fun to begin with. The only caviots are a slightly deteriorated battery and 1 less year of software updates, but the fact that they were only made a year ago minimallizes both issues while carrying out everything stated beforehand for similar (and sometimes even less) prices.

A71 review? I just got one, and I swapped from a 2017 phone and I can feel the difference. The 2017 phone was an a5 2017. Can you get both the a71 and a5 and do a day in the life of both please. I would love to see your input on it!

Greetings from Orange County California. Been with LG for 8 years. Had the G4 the G6 and the V40. This time around, As LG was not offering a form factor that I liked, i went with Samsung with the Galaxy A71 5G. They don't do everything the way I would like it done, but basically, as a non gamer, it meets my needs just fine. But I only went with it over the S20FE because I got the A71 on sale directly from Samsung for $375. It's not worth the $600 in the carrier store

@Bully Maguire ya ik
It’s just the best selling android if 2019. I think the best selling phone was the iPhone 11.

One time I crashbed my Sony Z3 phone. it was flagship phone that time. I bought Sony Xperia XA middle range phone - and I was surprised! it had everything (letterally everything) I used in the phone. I had many mid-range sony phones from XA line. And now I have Samsung M51> I'm not even thinking about buying flagship now.
We buy and companies win Companies fight and we win
S20 fe is a flagship killer lol
I have a Samsung m31 It has -6000 mah battery - 64 mp quad camera -sAMOLED screen - same processor as note ( exynos ) *AND ITS ONLY $230*
No Note-series phone has the Exynos 9611. Not all Exynos processors are equally powerful
I have the M51
This is the only product that the more you pay, the less you get. Flagships typically don't have headphone jacks. They typically don't take memory cards. Very few have user replaceable batteries. Some even don't include chargers today. Most people just buy them to impress their friends. They have become the modern version of a fake Rolex.
You pay a lot to get the extra features of a flagship phone over a mid range phone. Yes, you get weather sealing, a slightly faster chipset, a slightly better camera, and more memory and storage but you pay around $600 more for that. Right now, the midrange phone offers the most value for users. It makes absolutely no economic sense to spend $1200 for a flagship when the only way to upgrade them is to replace them every two years. Most people don't even need flagship phones. They just buy them for prestige and bragging rights.

Me who using flagship killer killer
When I am only using my phone to make calls, send texts, surf internet and watch some videos; there is no reason I need to pay a ton of money. And, if I only pay $300-$400, then I can buy another midrange phone in a year or so and upgrade that way. I pay cash for my phone, not a payment plan, and also with buying a cheaper phone there is no need for insurance.
You can get a used car for $1000 lol
Do like me. Since phones now have good cameras, battery and the rest, well, buy a phone, keep it 3 to 5 years and buy a flagship brand new, 1 or 2 years old and again, keep it for 3-5 years.
I have an Samsung Galaxy A71 and the quality is realy great. It has a Quality just like the (normal) Iphone 11/12 for just a bit more than 400 CHF. (452$)
I went shopping a few days ago for a new phone when my power surge went out. I honestly saw no reason to switch from my $100 Realme C2 to something better
Regarding the idea that average users don't NEED better specs: The main thing I find most tedious about smartphones is the web browsing experience where the browser constantly unloads tabs! Even on an ancient PC with almost no RAM you could have a browser tab open for days while using other programs - and then return to the web page without any issues. Even on a good phone, sometimes you find yourself opening the browser on a page you visited 30 minutes ago - and it will immediately auto reload the web page. Horrendous for productivity. This is a reason I could never just rely on a smartphone. Doing something like online shopping on multiple websites is super tedious and every time the browser auto-reloads on me I just sigh and go back to my ancient laptop instead which works 10x better.
the summary of the whole video we're too poor to afford flagships
Xiaomi Mi10t: Let me Introduce myself
6:31 I like how the budget phone is a nokia
title should be "mid range phones with flagship specs" .... they are called flagships for a reason. they extra features that are not necessarily useful. mid range can have same clock speeds or RAM or storage with flagships but not all... otherwise that is no longer a mid range phone but a flagship one.
Slight correction??
I will always get the Samsung Flagship. I will keep my phone for 2 to 3 years. So is worth it
00:19 but there weren't only 7 billion people on earth and it was sold 13 billions a10, everybody bought 2 and, I think there is something wrong

I have a note 20 ultra
Poco m2 pro- the new midrange flagship with 2 cons only- 209 gram in weight and average low light capture. In the rest cases, it's a flagship level of deal!
I see the Honor 20 Pro, I am happy now
For me, a petrol head, buying a flagship phone would be like buying a 700hp car to go grocery shopping. I just don't need the extra features and speed since I won't use it
My A71 could be known as a new flagship.
Makes sense
My a21s: I'm sorry I don't understand rich people with small batteries hahahaha
Just the size of those 1000 dollar flagship phones... No I am not a gay man, no i dont wear cloths with buttomless pockets... No i dont like to flash a brick 1000 dollar item just to show my fellow apes i got that expensive flagship thinking it makes me headape. I listen to podcasts / youtube / phone and check emails.. I dont need the most uber CPU in my mobile phone. I will *NEVER* buy a phone for gaming, I got an beast PC. I am not a gay man.
