One thing this would need that is not shown in virtually any sci-fi is for the display to only show on one side of the glass. Security is a big thing and being able to work on your device without people in front of you seeing exactly what you are doing is not a good plan. Glasses over phone agree entirely. Implantable. I don't think so, not because I doubt it will be possible but because of the speed of technical improvement. Upgrading your phone every few years is one thing. Having surgery to upgrade your implants every few years is a whole other level.

I truly don't see the point of a transparent phone. Unless projections could be completely opaque AND not be visible from the other side, it just seems like it would be annoying. The only real uses for transparent displays that I can think of are AR and replacing standard applications of glass (e.g. windows and kitchen shelves) - both uses that you mentioned here. I just don't get the point.

The plan is to connect us directly to the Cloud so eventually no external tech will be required. I don't think for a second this is a good thing though as you will open to anything being implanted in your mind - maybe even taking away the ability for humans to consciously think for themselves (fairly common already unfortunately).

Did not watch all of it, just to the TV, man you need to relize the bulk under the TV that every component is hidden in, you show of a phone with thinn edges where the components suppose to be? We are far, very far from this, unless they make a phone that records the backside of the phone on the main screen, but thats old tech.

I don't get your point on the transparent tv. Would you not notice the difference between a transparent screen and a big black rectangle ? If i doubt the need for such a design in smartphones i can see why it could be good to have a tv screen that just blend in your interior when it's off.

See through phones could be a good thing for a business cuz zooming something over to a screen, but I think about all those people who text and drive you can actually see through your phone when you're doing something more observant.
